Updates

Hi Guys,

It's me, Eliot. I'm here to update you on my brofur. First please excuse the mess behind me, we moved to a house recently and we love it! Windows galore and we can sit in them as much as we want - it's pawsome. We'll have more pics soon I promise. Grandma and Grandpa were here to help us move - and mom and dad have been super busy at work. We're hoping things will slow down the middle of next month.

Well, the Percy situation isn't good, but it might not be bad. He's going to see a new regular vet (not his cancer surgery vet) this Friday. Since his surgery in April he's lost 4.5 pounds. Mom got a good glimpse of him the other day and just started crying because he was so thin. I can't even call him fat boy anymore. The good news is the vet that will do his surgery in October really doesn't think it's cancer related. On Friday they will probably steal his bloods to learn more. The bright side is that dad thinks he maybe just didn't like his food. We got a sample bag of Purina Naturals and while mom was packing up our room to move Percy got in and ripped the bag open. He's very interested in food still, he just stopped eating so much of his. The more bad news is he has been barfing a lot lately - it's gross, but he has always been a little barfy because he inhales his food. Mom and dad went and bought a big bag of the Purina and Percy has been eating more. He isn't acting sick - he's more playful than ever. Dad is hoping that maybe he was sick of his old food and was suddenly more active and maybe that caused him to drop the pounds - better safe than sorry though.

We will keep you guys posted but for now I need to go snuggle with my brofur. Thanks for all your well wishes.

Purrs,
Eliot

I am very glad that your move is over and that you have lots of windows to look out of. Percy does sound like he just lost interest in his food for a while. I am glad to hear that the vet doesn't think Percy's paw problem is cancer related. I hope and pray that all goes well with the surgery and that Percy will be 100% very soon.

You are sweet to go snuggle with Percy, the more the better cause love is the best medicine. By the way, Maggy kind of gets like that with her food... every few weeks she just stops eating, but when she's offered something new and different, chow down. She, too, is a hacker 'n a barfer tho... so the Zoolatry Human sometimes puts a touch of veggie oil on her food or on her nose even. Seems to smooth out the innards a bit! Do you get some wet food, too? All the Humans used to give us was the dry stuff from the bags; but now at nighttime we get a couple spoonfuls of wet goodness, and oh boy, is it good. We can't wait to have it. You know we keep telling them, we're not that much different from you Humans... a little variety is good and good for you! Take care Percy... don't step on any toes (yours or anyone elses...). Bye now. PS, we gots so much fluffyfloofyfurs it's hard to tell if we've gained or lost!

You sure have a lot going on at your house!

I hope Percy will gain back all his weight soon. I think it is a good sign that he still has a good appetite. I am still purring for Percy!

Oh I hope that Percy gets better. Hopefully it's just a matter of food preference and activity ... there are all those windows to run back and forth to now. We'll send some purrs his way.

We got some of that Purina Naturals too, and we all love it. Rascal was having some problems yakking up his food, but the Lady decided to take the Temptations away ::shudder:: and now he's fine. The rest of us are having Temptation withdrawls though. ::sigh::
Your new house sounds great! Are you going to have a house-trashing party?

Thanks so much for the update. I eat the Purina Natural too. I like it so I hope it helps Percy too.

Mum knows what is like to move, so she says she will certainly excuse the mess.

We are glad that you are getting settled in to your new house. Percy's weight loss may have been due to the stress of moving too. Sometimes we kitties react to new situations by loosing weight or not eating well. We will be purring for him.

Abbie, We're sorry. We tried hard to leave a positive comment on that sarcastic article on Chase. But when we started reading those comments ... Thanks for letting the CB know about it so we can stand up for Chase.
