Saturday Chores!

Hi everyone! My new sisfur Abbie and I have been helping momma and daddy with the chores hoping that that would mean more pets for us. Abbie loads the dishwasher while I mop the floor. It's tuff work, but we like to pull our weight.
Eliot has been making tons of updates to our site including a new profile picture and lots of blog roll names.

We do have some bad news, our momma did not get into her first choice law school. She was kinda upset at first, but we were our cutest and she's feeling better now. She told us we're probably going to be moving someplace 14 hours away by car called cannettee-cut - how long is 14 hours anyway and where is this cannettee-cut? Kind of sounds like it involves food.

Have any of you kitties moved real far? How did you move? My mom said she'll need to do lots of research before we move, so I thought I'd get all your guys's opinions to help her.

Purrs,
Emily

PS. To my darling Shamy, I had so much fun on your porchy last week. It was so good to snuggle with you. I'm so glad we met, I'm such a lucky girl cat. Purrst and headrubs to you!

You two are being so helpful! I help Mom with the dishes, too.

14 hours??? RUN!!!! Mom and Dad take me to our mountain house, and that is 3 hours, which is like, forever! Its really not so bad if you have food, water and a litter box. I keep my harness on and they stop and let me walk every so often.

Wow, you are much more helpful than we are - mostly we just clean up crumbs when they fall off the table!

Max the Pyschokitty moved from Ohio to Catifornia. He might be able to assist on moving issues.

That is very nice of you to help out around the house. I am sorry your Mommie didn't get into her first choice of law school, but sometimes those things end up working out for the best in the long run.

We have moved far far away and had to FLY to get to our new home. We got to stay in a hotel room while the movers came so we would not be scairt.

You are both being very helpful! Nice work. :)

The farthest I've moved is from Frankfurt to Munich, when I moved from my breeder's home to my Forever Home. It was a six hour car drive, and I was fine.

In 2009, I'll be moving to Canada when my humans move back to Canada, and that will mean a long plane trip or an even longer boat trip. I'm not worried though, I know my humans will take good care of me.

Good luck with the move - we are moving house in August. Hopefully not too far. I expect you will be fine with the journeY!

we mooved from merryland to verginya. Mom let us stay in a ho-tel too. It was really nice, then she came and got us when everything was mooved in and we got to come and see the new place and sniff around. The ho-tel let us have our toys and everything.
You have to make a rezervashun though. do you have cute little kitty suitcases?

Connettie-cutt is supposed to be really nice. Good luck with the law skul hunt. my mommies neece is going to grajuate from Towson in Baltimore... I think that is ware she went to the law skul.

You two are good helpers. I help too, a lot. I do a lot of snoopervising

We've moved several times. Most of the time once you get on the road you can settle down and sleep or look out the window.

Make sure your Mom and Dad have a litter box somewhere you can find and reach easily. They should give you water when ever they stop, and they should figure on stopping pretty often. A hint: don't change the litter before you start the trip -- the Food Source did that once, and we couldn't find the litter box because we couldn't smell it.

you two are very helpful kitties. that is very sweet of you. I'm not going to let mommy see this photo because she may get the idea I will start helping.
I haven't moved anywhere so I can't help with that. It may be a good idea to check with your vet too. Mommy finds lotsa good advice on hsusDOTcom (the Humane Society of the US website) and they have stuff on moving your pets (she checked just now)
