Vet

Hi effurrybody,

Percy here. We are still sending out thank yous to everybody who donated/bought a raffle ticket, but if you haven’t gotten one from us yet, THANK YOU!! We are so grateful for everybody who has helped us, whether it was by buying a ticket, advertising the raffle or anything else you did. Winners, we received all the addresses and will be shipping out the blankets this weekend.

We raised A WHOLE LOT of green papers! Which is over half of what our vet quoted for the surgery. Way to go! We are thinking about a date next month for the appointment.

Speaking of that, I had to go to the V-E-T today anyway. We tried a new place near our new apartment and it’s so much closer than our old vet, which is really good because I HATE the car. Anyway, we are going to get a quote for the surgery from her too, since she is really nice (for a vet). Maybe it will be less green papers! As you can see, I'm napping with my brofur Eliot to help me get over the trauma. He's such a good brofur sometimes.

That’s all I have today. Purrs,

Percy

Raffle Winners

We wanted to thank effurryone who purchased raffle tickets. Thanks to you, we have almost reached our goal and we didn't even have to give up treats or stinky goodness yet.

Without further ado here are the winners.

The Emily (small pink) was won by: Grr, Midnight and Cocoa

The Eliot (small blue) was won by: Gypsy and Tasha

The Abbie (large pink) was won by: 2 Carolina Cats*

and finally, the Percy (small orange) was won by: Taylor and Clay*

*EDIT* after reviewing the film we realized our beans posted the last two winners out of order last night - apologies for the confusion - we won't let them handle anything so important next time.

Pictures of the drawing to be posted later this week (hopefully tonight).

Please contact us with your address and your blanket will be off to you this weekend.

Also, if you would still like to donate please click the botton below. We may have another auction or raffle in the near future - mom said she wants to look at the budget and see if there's any fat to trim first - we hope she's not referring to Percy.

Purrs and Thank You!!!

The Great Percy Toe Raffle

*SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW POSTS!*

With dad going back to school, my family is having a hard time coming up with the money for my cancer surgery. So, my wonderful grandma made me four fleece blankets. When they first came I was so excited because I thought they were all for me and I could sleep on them in every room, but the note said they were to raffle off to earn money for my surgery. I have to admit, I'm not excited about my surgery, but it sure was nice of grandma to think of me.

My brofur and sisfurs helped me model the blankets. I thought I would begin by showing you what my foot will look like after my surgery so you can better visualize my goal:

First up, the blanket we call the Eliot, because it has a blue backing that is his favorite color:

This blanket will be raffled off individually for $2 per chance.

Next is my purrsonal favorite, a little gem we like the call the Percy, because it has an orange back just like me!

This beauty could be yours for just $2 per chance!

Next up, a treat for all you pink loving cats - a blanket we have dubbed Emily, because she's a girl and pink is her signature color:

This one can be yours again for just $2 per chance.

Next we have a blanket we like to call Abbie, because she has enough energy to be considered two cats: the double-cat-sized version of the pink backing blanket:

This blanket, perfect for any multi-cat household, can be yours for just $3 per chance.

But that's not all, we also set up some value packs for cats interested in more than one cat blanket.

Our first set we call the Brofurs, this includes having your name entered to win both the blue and orange backed blankets, two raffles for just $3:

Here's Abbie modeling the Brofurs blankets:

And for just $4, you can be entered for the Sisfurs - where you name will be entered in both drawings for the pink backed blankets:

And for our mega deal - go for the Cat Stephens - where for just $6 you'll be entered in the drawing for each blanket!

And just to show you how cat friendly these blankets are, here are all the Cat Stephens modeling all the blankets!

Eliot, Emily and Percy wanted to show you just how comfy and warm they are to lay on.

All blankets went through extensive quality control that was snoopervised by yours truly:

Raffle Update:
The girls and I were talking, and what about all the people who have a boy cat and a girl cat - shouldn't they get a deal on raffle tickets too! So here you go:

The Fluffies (Eliot (blue backed) and Abbie (large pink backed) blankets) $4:

The Short Furs (Percy (orange backed) and Emily (small pink backed) blankets) $3:

The Grays (Eliot (blue backed) and Emily (small pink backed) blankets) $3:
Halloween (Percy (orange backed) and Abbie (large pink backed) blankets) $4:
Rules:
Contest opens Monday, July 28, 2008 at 12 noon EST; contest closes Friday August 15, 2008 at 11:59 PM EST Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 8 AM EST.

You may purchase as many raffle tickets as you’d like for any combination of the blankets.

Winner for each blanket will be first name drawn.

Purr usual, I can change the rules anytime I want to…

UPDATE: The fabulous Ann of Zoolatry made some wonderful badges for us, in case anyone wants to put them up. Thanks Ann! You sure are pawsome!

Thanks and purrs,

Percy Update

Hi efurrybody, Percy here. Just wanted to keep you updated on how I'm doing. My weight is doing a lot better since Mom and Dad switched me to a new kitty food that I really like. I eat food now... lots. Not throwing up any either. While I'm not looking forward to losing my toe (oh no!), I am planning to have the surgery by October to remove the toe and hopefully stop worrying about the cancer for good.

Dad is going to be starting school soon to learn how to make computers do things, but he is going to have to quit working where he's at now in order to do that. Mom and dad were worried about the expenses for my surgery, so I told them to just not worry about it and I would keep my toe. But Grandma said she was going to make me some blankets and we could raffle them off and hopefully raise some money to save up for the surgery that way. Gee thanks, Grandma. We will have pictures of the blankets and raffle details next Sunday.

That's all for now. Right now things are looking better than they have. I'm still a little scrawny (for me).

Purrs,

Percy
